Old Fashioned Gal' (On style)
From interior to exterior - A self portrait of sorts

Perhaps it was growing up on a farm or what my mother bought me when I was young, but my wardrobe has always had large western/gaucho style vibes and staple pieces.
Pairing these with unexpected items, such as band tees, glitter, fishnets, etc is what it's all about. Mending your different aesthetics into something that is completely your own!
Throughout history we've seen top end designers to your everyday father figure represent western boho for decades now - but it's starting make HUGE waves in 2017 fashion.

How to nail the western look:
- BOOTS. Short, tall, it don't matter. There are some great vintage booties found online or modern remakes of the old classic. Check out Jeffrey Campbell's new line - swoon.
- A statement hat is crucial. Whether it's straw, a wool fedora, or gaucho riding hat. I prefer Stetson, but any brand will do.
- A prairie dress or skirt. Etsy is a great place to find vintage originals! Gunne Sax or Laura Ashley can be spendy, but certainly worth the investment.
- A western shirt. Skip the plaid and go for a high collared Victorian button up, anything with ruffles or a standard Scully western shirt.
- Fringe. Whether it be a jacket, boots, or purse. You need FRINGE.
- Jewelry! Sterling silver turquoise rings and bolo ties galore.
